Your Chief InstructorPromar Karate has been successfully
teaching martial arts since 1979.
Your Chief Instructor is Shihan Mark Yates. Shihan is a 5th Degree Black
Belt in the art of Goshin-jitsu. He also holds black belts in Traditional Judo
and Jujitsu.
Shihan Yates is a world amateur champion having won the SKIL Black-Belt
Self-defense title in 2002.
In 1994 Promar Karate was rated in the top 25 Sport Karate schools in the
world by the National Black Belt League.
Promar trained karateka have won 14 world titles and over 175 North American,
National, State and Provincial titles.
Other titles Shihan has won.
Self-Defense
PKC Grand Nationals and Self-defense Grand Championship.
Shihan is the only martial artist to win Can-Am Black Belt Self-defense three
years in a row, 1995, 1996, and 1997
